HOW IT WORKS

Entry and Selection

A maximum of 8 shortlisted films from each category will be selected and shown at the Los Angeles Coffee Festival 2020.

You will receive advance notice if your submission has been successful and will be shown at the festival.

Once films are selected, a schedule will be drawn up with films shown on a loop throughout the duration of the festival. First, second and third place winners will be announced during the festival.

Applications will open in January 2020. Applicants will be invited to submit their interest via an online form. Once you have submitted your interest, we will contact you regarding your entry.


Prizes and opportunity

All shortlisted films will be screened at the Los Angeles Coffee Festival 2020, and subsequent Allegra Group coffee festivals in Amsterdam, Milan, London, Paris and New York. This is a total audience of over 70,000 coffee lovers and industry professionals.

In addition, the winner for Independent Short Film will receive $10,000.


Guidelines

All films and commercials must be inspired by the theme of coffee or coffee culture.

There are no restrictions on the genre of film or commercial.

All films and commercials must be in English.

All entries must adhere to the full terms and conditions.

Independent Short Film

All films must be 10 minutes or under. Any film submitted that is over will only be judged on the first 10 minutes.

All films submitted must be made by independent film makers. Student submissions are welcome.

Any instances of company specific references to companies seen in the film will not be accepted and will therefore not be shown at The Los Angeles Coffee Festival.

Brand Film

All films submitted must be made by coffee industry brands.

All films must have been produced after 01.01.2018.

Brand Commercial
